pasta la drama mama

internet was a bit unstable the last few days so whatever i entered have disappeared and forgetful me has no idea what i had typed so i'll just keep it short and sweet and whatever i can remember. haha!





went to meet up with my drama peeps on wednesday evening. only 4 people turned up. while i went to meet up with them, sean went on to help me buy CDs! YAY!


heard and saw the video of her song public affair and fell in love! haha. welcome back pop music! haha.


lost this CD and decided i need it back again. the songs on this CD accompanied me to school during my first year in RP. haha.


call me a tweenie-pop-music-lover but the songs here are rather catchy and i love it.

i'm a pop-girl!

as agreed :)




the eve of eve, sean and i headed to alvin's Diva's X'Mas '06 but we wanted quite a long while before the whole even started. we reached around 7.15pm and waited till past 7.30pm before deciding we should go to changi village to eat first. haha! halfway through our food, got a call from cedric that the food at the function room has been served. after our dinner, we walked back to the place and casper called to tell us the event is starting! haha. so yes, no videography or photography were allowed, and apparently i was the only one that complied to that rule because flashes from cameras and the 'click' sounds from handphones were going off throughout the time we were there. haha! see, i'm so guai. but anyways, we had to leave early because of a couple of reasons mould into one.





on christmas eve, we spent the evening over at my aunt's place in the west. i drove up just in case there's a need to check the map for the location, while sean drove home. when it comes to reading map, sean's faster. when it comes to listening and following directions, i'm faster. haha! nice pairing, eh?

anywho, i made sushi to contribute to the pot luck! haha. dinner was good, except with some really irritating aunties (from my aunt's husband's side of the family) testing my patience when i arrived.

i went to the kitchen to slice my sushi and this woman came and said,

Woman: Aiyoh, don't cut already. we all had our dinner already!
Me: oh, i'm just cutting for myself and my husband *smiles*
Woman (hand picking off the pieces of sushi i just sliced): aiyoh, don't cut too much la. later cannot finish cannot keep you know!
My Aunt: Yah, don't cut so much. there's somemore sushi outside. you never tell me you bringing sushi! haiyo!
Me: I know how to make and i wanted to eat what
My Aunt: aiyoh! my sister in law also know how to make! just say mah!
Me: I prefer to eat the ones i make for myself *smiles as real as possible*
My Aunt: aiyoh, she make one very professional one! Aiyoh, stop cutting liao la! *hands picks off my sliced sushi*
Me (tone louder than normal): You keep taking, I have to keep cutting right? If not, I eat what?? (cuts finish the rest, snatch those 'leftovers' and left)

in the end, my sushi was all finished and the so-called SIL's one (which is bought, btw) had plenty of leftovers. according to my aunt, i should have added vinegar to my sushi rice but that's the main reason why my sushi was more popular than the other - no vinegar, children-friendly :) haha.

had our dinner together with other members of our side of the family and talked and laughed. at one point, my younger cousin - evelyn, drank a whole glass of champagne without realising what she thought it was. she had thought what she drank was zapple! without fizzle! haha. she threw up twice just before we left, even though throughout the evening she was high and crazy. haha.

after dinner, before the puke-saga, the few of us, my 2 cousins (evelyn and yuting), elder sis - clara, my brother - felix, sean and myself, headed for fresh air and walked to the nearby 7-11 and spent quite a while there before heading back, sitting for a while then running home! haha.

this is the last and final time i'm going to spend christmas with that horrible side of the family. i told sean, and he agreed, that the next time they have a gathering together, we're going to have our own and see who goes to who's. haha! betcha i'll have all the cool people over at my place! haha.

long entry ahead





my brother, sean and i headed to the club to play tennis again! haha. it's only our second time playing together and we're already damn pro. haha. and i think it's already a routine to end the game with the tennis ball flying out of the building and into the little "forest" beneath. this time, it was my brother who hit it out.

also, my brother killed a bug while playing tennis. one moment i saw the bug flying, next moment, when i was picking the ball my brother shot towards me and i couldn't return the shot, i saw the bug lying on the floor, with juice all spilt out. we forgot to take a picture of it. haha! but hey! tennis is so fun! especially since there are no old uncles disturbing us like they did on tuesday when we went to play badminton with my dad. haha!


after tennis, and nice long shower, we had dinner with the rest of the family! sonia, mum and dad went swimming while felix, sean and i were playing tennis. clara was watching us play tennis at the rooftop cos she had no other entertainment after her gym.

fun, fun, fun!

after dinner, clara went off to meet her friends and the rest of us head home. dad went to watch his tv, sean went to play his online game and felix, mum and i went to play mahjong! haha. and i'll sinfully say that my brother and i were bullying my mother cos she had just learnt it like yesterday. haha! so fun. and we've agreed that we shall play every single day for at least one hour! haha. finally! we have a full 4 players for mahjong. haha. last night, it was just felix, clara and myself.

mahjong freaks!! haha. soon, sonia will join us. and i'll influence sean to learn too! haha. then we can have 2 tables with dad joining us noobs! haha! oh! oh! and if my grandparents really moves into the neighbourhood (their area is being en-bloc), we'll have 3 mahjong pros (grandparents + dad) making us noobs shit in our pants!

haha! so cool!

and! sean's younger brother came over to our place to celebrate an early christmas over white wine and cocktail finger food (as he calls it) which he fried at our place. delicious! yum yum :P

friday family-bonding has never been any more fun!


note to self: tomorrow (or rather today), alvin's christmas party! sunday, family gathering (need to be extremely properly dressed - no peek-a-boo of pelvic bone!). wednesday, long awaited gathering with drama peeps :) friday, tennis again! (YAY!)

new skin

with the lovely help from deanie, i was finally able to get this blog up and running!

the two of us were staring at our screens (she's at her place, and i'm at my mum's) wondering what the hell went wrong with the codes, cos the lazy me decided to take skins from blogskins.com and just copy and paste. and in the process, i came across two skins that had things that i wanted so i combined them. haha.

yesterday, when sean went back to school to give out the 'N' level results i went to tampines mall to get the christmas present for him!

originally, poor lil' old me was only thinking of getting him a nokia 3250 but when they told me it was no longer in production (cos of the new music edition) i was bummed. then i decided to just heck the price and buy whatever i think suits him, since this is the same way he spends on my birthday and whatever occasions i deem gift-worthy. haha!

so in the end, i got him a nokia 5500 sport. a simple and durable phone with stainless steel covering. and since it's a sports edition phone, i suppose it should last longer than all his other phones. haha! and because it is either in stainless steel or rubber covering it means lesser scratch marks, lesser 'peeling' of covering and extremely boyish! haha. i'm really happy with the purchase : ) now to make sure he doesn't find out the price. haha. am so glad he likes it too! hehe.

after getting the christmas gift, i went on to have my hair done (omg! so freakin' tai tai) had it cut short and rebonded.

why rebond when it's already short?? cos when my hair gets too short, it tends to curl. haha.

but i like the new do. sean likes it too! he say it makes me look younger than i already am. haha. my maid thinks so too. only my mom had something a little negative to say. she said it looks flat, but i say give it a while! by friday, my hair will be divalicious! haha.

the socialite me has alvin's Divas X'mas 06 party on saturday! and sunday, family gathering+party! hehe. fun fun fun!

and the following week, wednesday gathering with my drama peeps. it's been a while :) a long long while. hehe.

tennis

yesterday, sean and i played table tennis and tennis with my brother. and let me tell you one thing. we rock at them. HAHA.

and never ever say that i can't hit the tennis ball out of the entire area, cos that's what happened to the final shot.

i hit the ball up and over the rooftop tennis court and it vanished into god-knows-where.

haha.

we're doing it again next week and after and after!! it's our new thing now! :D

A Baby.

just checked my results.

and surprise surprise!

the module that i thought i would do well is just a little above average.

BUT the one that shocked me the most is Character Design!

not exactly my favourite module, but it ain't my most hated one either, yet it's one that i'm seriously doing really well in. talk about improving from one UT to another. from B to B+ to A. haha. A+ anyone??? :P

today was spent walking arond town and bugis, buying loads of stuff. haha.

first, sean and i headed to meet my two cousins to shop for my male cousin's outfit to be worn on my wedding. haha. he ended up buying 2 shirts, 2 ties, a pair of pants and a belt. then he had to rush off to his school as he has a project to finish.

so it was left with sean, myself and my female cousin. just when my male cousin left, my mum called to say she's done with her swimming and foot reflexology. perfect timing! haha. so we walked from town to bugis to meet my mother. haha. yes, we walked and it was so fun! haha! we stopped by a few shops cos the forever-digressing me keeps spotting cute things along the way. we stopped by this shop to try on a few cheongsums (and i wanna get one!) and other dresses. SO WANNA GET THEM!

then, my mother called to say she has reached, so i thrust the phone to sean to get him to answer. somehow, when he says he's late, my mother would be less pissed for having to wait. haha. then my elder sister called to say that she has also reached bugis (and she came from causeway point) so we rush like mad and stopped looking at things. haha!

browsed around OG cos my mother was looking for clothes to my wedding, but she couldn't decide what to get. she only knew what she didn't want to get. haha. so she gave up and she end up buying levis for my elder sister and i. i was only getting it as a on-the-way. my elder sis was the one who wanted them. so she got 2 pairs of jeans, and i got one. skinny jeans, babe! and toys for my little cousins as christmas gifts and a tiny toy car my younger sister wanted.

then my brother and younger sister followed my dad home, while the rest of us continued shopping. haha. then we walked back to bugis, cos my sis said the dress she wanted to wear to my wedding was at GG<5. there, i saw a tube dress, very very pretty, and i went to try it own as well. my mum saw that both the dresses looked nice on us so decided to buy them both! wahaha. but sadly, my sister's dress didn't have a new piece and the one she tried on had a little tear on the zip. she's trying to get them to repair it by this friday. only if they can repair by then would they sell it. so mum only bought my tube dress.

so we shopped somemore to look for other dresses, just in case. but none caught my sister's eye. so we decided to have some snack as well as rest our feet. after that, my sister left to buy her laptop at expo, while my mum, cousin, sean and myself walked around further. then mum decided to try dorothy perkins, to see if she can find anything there. in the end, we walked out of the shop buying me a tunic dress. wahaha! my mum couldn't get anything she like. oh yah, my mum bought my cousin a top from fox too!

after that, we went to the bridal shop to try on the gowns again, as well as match the accessories with the gowns. then my cousin tried her gown as well. then we collected our wedding album and everything else before heading home on a cab.

man! we walked like 7-8 hours today?? lol. but it was fun!
